Located between the northern latitude 11 27' and 15 58' and east longitude 75 47' and 70 27', district of Wayanad is on the southern tip of Deccan Plateau. On it's North, South and West lie the districts of Kannur, Malappuram, Calicut. To its north and east, it borders the Karnataka districts of Coorg and Mysore. Further to the southeast lies the Nilgiri district of Tamilnadu
