Facilities in the hotel
This
lovely beach bordering Vyppin island is ideal
for swimming. Dolphins are occasionally seen
here. Cherai, is well known for sea food.
Sight Seeing: Get into a country boat and barge
your way through the gentle river, which has
crystal clear cold water, along the palm fringed
backwaters and paddy fields, absorbing the beauty
of Kerala villages.
Visiting fishermen's village, fishing boatyard,
fishing Harbour and chat with fishermen - you
will never forget in your lifetime. You can
see country boats ferrying paddy or fish, fishermen
casting for the day's catch, reapers singing
in the fields, agile men climbing up coconut
palms, toddy tapers tapping toddy (fermented
coconut water ) from the coconut tree, children
splashing water, storks walking and looking
for their prey in the paddy fields, the kingfisher
diving in for fish, the twitter of birds, the
chanting sound of a prayer from a distant temple
wafts across the water with the gentle breeze,
temple festivals with elephants, the soft warmth
of the rising sun and the wind whispering on
sand - the voice of Kerala.
